Pharma IT parent company commits to emissions reduction targets via the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
ProductLife Group (PLG) commits to set emissions reduction targets through the SBTi
Pharma IT’s parent company, ProductLife Group (PLG), has officially commited to setting near-term emissions reduction targets in alignment with the 1.5 degree pathway as part of the Science Based Targets initaitive (SBTi). The commitment was officially made at the end of 2023. PLG plans to submit targets for validation by the end of this year. This pledge underscores the group’s dedication to integrating sustainable practices into business operations and advisory services.
Pharma IT aligns local efforts with group level emissions reduction targets
As a subsidiary of PLG, Pharma IT will align our emissions reduction targets with the targets set at group level later this year. “Embracing the SBTi reinforces our commitment to sustainability, which is fundamental to delivering value to our clients and stakeholders,” said Søren Winkel, CEO of Pharma IT. At local level, Pharma IT has implemented several initaitives such as switching to renewable electricity at our local HQ in Copenhagen, implemented extensive waste sorting, responsible e-waste procedures, reducing business travel by plane, and encouraging employees to utilize low-carbon commuting options. The company will also publish its first public CSR report this year.
Our emissions reductions efforts & commitments support our customers' ambitions
Pharma IT works with the largest and most influential pharmaceutical companies in the Nordics. Most of these companies have ambitious emissions reductions targets of their own.
